More About Abigail (Abbie) Lama-Gaffney

Hi, I’m Abbie Lama-Gaffney, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in working with adults. I believe in the power of listening and being heard, and I’m here to provide you with a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and actions. My ultimate goal is to empower you to make positive changes in your life and equip you with the skills you need for success.

With over twenty years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of assisting individuals facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorders, attention deficit disorder, eating disorders, anger issues, and more. I’ve also worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and individuals who have experienced physical, sexual, or mental abuse.

My educational background includes a BA from The Ohio State University in 1997 and an MA from Heidelberg University in 2000. Beyond my professional work, I enjoy long walks in nature, spending quality time with my puppy, and indulging in some quiet reading with a good novel. I’m also a firm believer in the power of inspirational quotes.

If you’re seeking support for your mental health or behavioral well-being, please get in touch with me. Together, we can work towards a brighter and more fulfilling future. Your journey toward positive change begins with that first step, and I’m here to walk it with you.
