Aspen Hainsworth

Hi! My name is Aspen Hainsworth, and I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from Utah Valley University, and recently received my master’s degree in social work from there as well. Social work is my passion and resonates with me because of the many ways I can help people in my community, and for the high ethical standards and values the profession upholds.

I have been practicing in the social work field for 2 years, and have primarily worked with children, youth, and young adults. I have provided multiple skills-based groups to children and youth, as well as some process groups for adult survivors of sexual assault/sexual abuse. I have provided counseling services on an individual basis for a variety of clients experiencing concerns in the areas of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation/self-harm, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, child physical and sexual abuse, women’s concerns, parenting, family life, life changes, emotional regulation, trauma, and identity formation.

I am a visual learner and love when therapy can be visual and hands on as well. I believe that therapy is meant for the individual, and is a different experience for everyone. My areas of focus include abuse/trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, Christian counseling, family concerns, having a lack of confidence or low self-esteem levels, having hardships with body-image, life changes, school problems, self harming/suicidal thoughts, and stress management. I am also here if you just need someone to talk to! Having a safe place where you feel no judgment is important! My clinical approach is client-centered, strengths-focused, and skills-based. I love working together to add skills to your mental health tool-box. I want you to feel empowered and direct the course of therapy because it is for you!
