Hi, I’m Carly Amato, a Licensed Social Worker passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and support. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered care, and I bring empathy, patience, and a deep respect for your unique journey into every session.
My background includes working in inpatient psychiatric settings as well as community-based advocacy. I have supported adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including schizophrenia, substance-induced psychosis, and suicidal ideation. I have facilitated safety planning, family meetings, and led a 12-week group on substance use and recovery. I’ve also worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, where I provided crisis counseling and advocacy through the legal system. These experiences have shown me that even in the most overwhelming circumstances, healing and growth are possible.
Now, in my current role, I work with children, teens, and adults through a variety of life transitions, traumas, and mental health concerns. Whether you’re looking to develop coping strategies, explore relationships, or process past experiences, my goal is to support you in a way that feels empowering and collaborative. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I’m here to help you find what works best for you. If this approach resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path toward healing and self-discovery.
