Catherine Gentry, MSN, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC, is board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She pursued her Nurse Practitioner certification after devoting 18 years caring for patients and families in the neonatal intensive care unit. Catherine has a strong passion for helping others. She brings compassion, enthusiasm, and inspiration to her clients and the profession.
After graduating at the top of her class from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master of Science in Nursing, she then earned her Post-Master’s APRN Certification from Wilkes University. In addition, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing was awarded from Ohio University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Cleveland State University. She is pursuing a nutritional psychiatry certification through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
Catherine specializes in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD, among other mental health concerns. She also emphasizes the importance of attention to sleep, nutrition, exercise, and environment while assisting individuals to a higher level of functioning. Using a holistic and conservative approach allows her to be considerate with individualized care. She provides psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management services.
