About
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read more about me to see if I might be a good fit for your therapeutic needs! I am a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Cincinnati and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the University of Kentucky. My decision to pursue a career in behavioral and mental health was born out of a passion to foster a space in which folks might feel heard, seen, and deeply valued for who they are.
I have been in the social work field for 3 years, and a clinician at Mindfully for 1 year. Over the course of my career thus far, I have provided advocacy for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and trafficking. Additionally, I have provided counseling services for individuals and couples with variety of life experiences and concerns. In particular, I’ve worked with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, interpersonal conflicts, attachment concerns, and various adjustment challenges. My primary areas of focus include trauma, women’s concerns, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and relationship concerns.
I would describe my clinical approach as a mixture of existential psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Additionally, I utilize an empowerment/strengths-based approach in which I believe that you as the client are the expert of your life experiences and have inherent strengths within you that deserve to be understood and honored. As your (potential) clinician, I consider my role as an expert in human development and behavior. My belief is that, together, we can create a powerful alliance to help you navigate life experiences and hone a life worth living.
