Heather is a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed in the state of Ohio, and working towards her independent license. Heather received her Masters in marriage and family therapy through Capella University and has previously worked in the community mental health setting. Heather has experience working with couples, families, and individual clients, clients coping with depression, anxiety, relational concerns, grief, gender and sexual issues, addiction, and the stresses of life.
Heather believes that people are the experts of their own lives and works with clients from a strength-based, client-centered perspective. She believes that the most important aspect to the therapeutic process is the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist; with this in mind she uses empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach in working with her clients.
