Hi, I’m Isabel. I am here for the burned-out caregiver, the overlooked employee, and lovers (friends or family) in stalemate. I am here for the person who needs someone to listen while they seek clarity. I am here for you when you are lost. I am here to listen to your story, work with you as you unearth your puzzle pieces, and support you through these challenges.
I am here for you because I have been there myself. I am here for you because I haven’t been there myself, but something transcendent about human experience tells me that we can still make growth happen together. Before joining the team at Mindfully, my counseling internship experience involved working with individuals and couples on the topics of sex and relationship therapy and co-leading a therapy group for people without homes. Before I became a counseling student, I worked as a mechanical engineer for ten years. Before that, I worked with children (preK – 12) in a teaching capacity (art, music, and Jewish studies). Before that, I was the eldest daughter in a blended family, one that desperately needed a therapist who understood. I have direct personal experience in the following areas: the cycle of rupture-and-repair, corporate trauma, religious trauma, sexual trauma, infidelity, parental abandonment, blended family upbringing, and kin-care (infant through elder care).
As a spiritual minority and someone who spent over a decade working as a woman in a male-dominated field, it is important to me that I meet you wherever you need support in your intersectional identity. Regardless of your ability, gender, race, sexuality, spirituality, etc., I hope we can tailor this process to meet your needs. To that end, I am happy to meet with you in person at our office location or online (via our HIPAA-compliant video conference software).
