Kathie Turner is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, her Master of Science and Nursing Family Practice from Wright State University, and her Post Master’s Certificate of Psychiatric Mental Health Across the Lifespan from the University of Cincinnati.
With over 20 years of experience, Kathie has a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring her clients. From her early days as a Nurse in the ICU to her time in primary care, oncology, geriatrics, and pediatric bone marrow transplants, Kathie has seen the difference quality mental health support can make. These experiences led her to focus her practice on continuing positive behavioral health experiences by becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
She works collaboratively with her clients to find an individualized medication plan that is the best fit for their needs. She sees the use of medication as a way to create a stable platform so that therapy and self-care can provide sustained relief and recovery.
Kathie believes during our lives stress, trauma, grief, loss, happiness, and even positive feelings can collect and can overwhelm us. There are times when the weight becomes more than we can bear and we need support to find strength. Kathie enjoys partnering with her patients to work through tough experiences so that they may meet their goals and move forward with their lives.
