Katie is a licensed social worker. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work at Northern Kentucky University. She has worked with all ages of individuals and their families focusing on substance use disorder, dual-diagnosis, and mental health. Katie is trained in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. When working with individuals, Katie focuses on their goals for therapy by using a person-centered approach. ​ Katie believes that everyone has strengths to make the changes they seek, and therapy should be a safe place to discover these strengths and paths to positive change. She has provided counseling for individuals and their families experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, and dual diagnosis.
