Hi, my name is Kristin Turner. I am a certified Peer Support Specialist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate the challenges of mental health and substance use. I understand that overcoming these challenges can be daunting and even frightening. That is why I am committed to empowering individuals facing these challenges by sharing my recovery journey and offering compassionate, non-judgmental support!
I have personal life experiences in both mental health and substance use, and I specialize in crisis intervention, PTSD related to addiction and sexual/domestic abuse, as well as self-harm. I have completed extensive training in trauma-informed care and crisis management, equipping me to provide effective and empathetic support.
Building trusting relationships with my clients is paramount to my approach. My personal life experiences allow me to offer unique insights and foster a sense of hope and resilience. I believe in the power of Peer Support and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment for all clients.
