Laura Bratton

LC (Ohio)

Therapist - Intern

I am an intern from Northern Kentucky University on track to earn a Masters in Social Work in the fall of 2024. My background is in yoga and mindfulness. I studied yoga in India and completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program while there. I found that my understanding of the body and mindfulness techniques only got me so far, and many clients longed for guidance in processing things beyond my expertise. I decided to go back to school in order to fill in these gaps so that I may combine mindfulness with more traditional psychotherapy practices.

I feel it is an honor to sit with people and listen to their stories, and the opportunity feels sacred to me. I love to listen to people with an open mind, providing clients with a sense of safety and radical acceptance.

“We don't set out to save the world; we set out to wonder how other people are doing and to reflect on how our actions affect other people's hearts.” ~Pema Chodron
