About

I received my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciencesfrom Cleveland State University. In addition, I obtained my Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. I completed additional classes in Chemical Dependency Counseling and also received a minor in Philosophy. Prior to joining Mindfully and Nancy Lowrie & Associates, I worked as a Family Therapist. My previous employment was with The Buckeye Ranch in Columbus, Ohio. I worked in the Functional Family Therapy program for 2 years and met with clients over telehealth and in the community. The program specialized in working with high-risk youth (11 years old-19 years old) and their families. During graduate school, I worked as a counselor trainee at Catholic Charities in Akron, Ohio for 1 year. I conducted individual therapy sessions as a community-based therapist and gained some experience in treating dual diagnosis. During my internship, I became certified in a communication training program called “Say It Straight” and also taught Parenting Classes. I decided to pursue a career in School- Based Therapy in order to help others. I believe it is possible for everyone to succeed when connected with the right tools.
