My name is Maria and I am a clinical mental health counseling intern with a deep commitment
to empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges and foster emotional well-being.
Through a humanistic counseling approach, I strive to create a safe, empathetic, and
non-judgmental space for you to explore your experiences, build self-awareness, and work
toward healing and personal growth.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and am currently
working toward my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Kentucky
University. Specializing in treating a variety of life issues, including , and more. With a focus on
the whole person, I believe in the inherent potential of each person to lead a fulfilling and
authentic life and strive to help you discover your resources for coping, resilience, and
transformation.

About our Clinical Resident program: Maria Rojas is a dedicated master’s-level student currently receiving supervision from Candyce Wilsonto provide you with the highest quality care. This collaborative approach ensures that your counseling experience is supported by a team committed to your growth and well-being. Candyce will be actively involved in overseeing clinical aspects of your care, including attending some sessions and reviewing diagnostic and treatment plans to ensure they are tailored to your needs.
