Hello, I’m Monique Lipman. I’ve worked as a mental health counselor for over a decade across many cities in the United States. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University and dual Master’s degrees from Tulane University in Social Work (MSW) and Public Health (MPH). Throughout my career, I have focused on addressing trauma, especially related to intimate partner violence. I have worked with both victims and perpetrators of abuse in mostly criminal settings, such as with people under legal supervision and those seeking to break free from abusive relationships.
My therapeutic approach draws from a blend of modalities, primarily rooted in Psychodynamic principles, alongside elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In my clinical work, I emphasize exploring past and present relationships and aiding clients in mastering emotional regulation. I aim to create a safe, empathetic space where individuals can heal and grow.
If you’re seeking a therapist who combines experience, a diverse skill set, and a compassionate approach, I’m here to support you on your journey to improved mental well-being. Let’s work together to find healing and resilience within yourself and your relationships.
