Hello! My name is Sean Buffington, and I am an clinical resident at Mindfully. I am studying to be a Licensed Social Worker, which I hope to be able to attain by the end of my master’s program at Northern Kentucky University. I have been working with youth with various mental health and behavioral issues for over a decade at this point in my career. During my time in the field, I have become quite knowledgeable in crisis management and goal acquisition and have been practicing DBT with youth of various functioning levels and diagnoses. I have been able to work through a trauma-informed framework for over seven years and have used this daily in my work with individuals in many settings. While I know much about acute care, I also understand what it is to be a working parent, as while I write this, I am also helping to feed my new son.
