About

Throughout my career, I have been extensively involved in championing for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders; this involvement has prepared me with the skills necessary to provide therapeutic intervention both in-person and via telehealth.

As a passionate advocate for individuals and families, I support folks in establishing the structure needed to meet their goals of improved mental health, familial unity, overall wellness, and stability. I feel strongly about the versatility of my skillset, as I bring years of direct service experience through my work in behavioral health case management that I use to inform my clinical journey where I am rooted in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strategies.

As a therapist, I am person-centered and solution-focused, working to empower individuals to be of greatest service to themselves as they navigate the difficult work of self-discovery and personal growth. I find my greatest strength to be my ability to cultivate trust and empathetic connection at all stages of the journey.

I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where I remain grounded and engaged with my home community. For much of my career, I have served through non-profit agencies in rural Appalachia where I have been honored to earn the trust of many resistant clients and their families. As I return to outpatient care from a period spent serving in residential treatment, I have broadened my skills to include therapeutic crisis intervention and de-escalation; this experience coupled with my history of working with families involved in the child welfare system contributes insight to the dynamic of my lean in relation to individual and family therapy.
