About

Tamara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her approach to counseling is eclectic. Rather than a “one size fits all” approach, she believes in the value of meeting her clients where they are in their walk of life. She is a loyal listener who believes in the healing power of being present with her clients, providing a safe and welcome environment where they feel seen and heard.  

During her undergraduate studies, Tamara attended Miami University where she received her bachelor’s degree in integrated studies, with a focus on Families, Gender, and Society. She received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University in January 2023.  

Her counseling experience includes working with individuals who have struggled with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADD/ADHD, trauma, and self-image/self-concept. Cognitive behavior therapy, person centered therapy, narrative therapy, bilateral stimulation, and exposure therapy are some of the therapeutic approaches and interventions she uses when working with her clients.  

 In her free time, Tamara enjoys spending time with her husband and children, playing board games, reading books, and gardening.
