Overcome major depression with Deep TMS therapy
Have you been struggling with major depression, but psychiatric medications and antidepressants haven’t worked?
Mindfully’s TMS Therapy may be the solution you’ve been looking for.
What is Major Depression?
Major depression, also known as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), is a severe and debilitating mental health condition. Symptoms of major depression include persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in almost all activities. People suffering from major depression may also have recurrent thoughts of death or suicide.
In the United States, major depression affects approximately 21 million adults annually, accounting for around 8.4% of the adult population.
Do you have treatment-resistant depression?
Approximately 1 out of 3 people fail to achieve remission from depression after medication for anxiety and depression drug treatments. This is known as treatment-resistant depression. If you’ve tried medication for depression or anxiety and they haven’t work, you are not alone.
If medication for depression and psychotherapy are not working, Mindfully’s Deep TMS therapy (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) may help you achieve remission from major depression or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
What is TMS therapy?
TMS therapy, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, is a noninvasive brain neurostimulation procedure. Mindfully TMS therapy uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to alleviate symptoms of major depression and anxiety.
Mindfully uses Deep TMS Therapy with patented H-Coil technology. This enables deeper and broader stimulation than traditional TMS coils, resulting in greater neuron activation, lower targeting errors seen with other TMS therapies, and high effectiveness.
Our Deep TMS therapy is an in-office, non-surgical treatment. When you undergo Deep TMS therapy, you will be seated comfortably in a chair while our clinician places a specialized padded helmet on your head. Each session only lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, and you will remain awake and alert throughout the process.
Who can benefit from Deep TMS therapy?
If you are an adult (18+) who have been 2 or more different psychiatric medications for depression that have been unsuccessful, and you have a PHQ-9 score of 15 or higher (i.e., suffer from moderate or severe depression), then you may be a candidate for TMS therapy.
Unlike regular TMS therapy, Mindfully’s Deep TMS therapy is the only type of TMS treatment that is approved by the FDA to treat all adults, even those over the age of 68. Now with Deep TMS therapy, you can alleviate the burden of major depression, even among older people.
What are the TMS therapy side effects?
There are no TMS therapy side effects. Deep TMS therapy is a noninvasive in-office procedure, and there is no downtime after treatment – in fact, you can drive, work, or resume other normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
To be clear, TMS therapy is not surgery and is not shock therapy, and it is a comfortable treatment process.
