Hi, I am an intern from Northern Kentucky University working towards my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Skidmore College. During my undergraduate studies I focused on the psychology and philosophy of telling stories. It can be suffocating to feel that you lack control over parts of your life. My aim as a counselor is to help you regain control over the parts of your life that are in your power to change. When you have control over the areas that felt uncertain, then you can shape your own story.
I believe I am a strong fit for your needs because I bring both expertise and lived experience with the feeling of losing control. I focus on helping individuals reclaim their stories from traumatic experiences, regain agency, and build a stronger, more purposeful future. I approach therapy from a person-centered and narrative perspective in order to help you reach the goals we establish in session.
I aim to build a space rooted in warmth, understanding, and acceptance. Every story is welcome. I am happy to meet with you in person at our comfortable office location or online (via our HIPAA-compliant video conference software).
