Jenesis Clark

My name is Jenesis Clark and I am a LPC in Cincinnati, OH. I am honored that you would consider me to walk alongside you on your life path in this way. Life can be challenging, but I strongly believe that it can be less overwhelming when therapy is a safe space to process what you are going through. I have experience supporting individuals seeking to address their anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, cultural concerns, careers, fertility, relationships, and general life transitions. I also have a background working with people who have experienced religious trauma and identify as part of marginalized and historically-excluded populations.

I am passionate about social justice and providing access to quality mental health care. My approach is focused on support and validation, with challenge when appropriate. I utilize a Strengths-based, Person Centered Theory approach in therapy where I prioritize your story and experiences to ensure that you feel heard and validated. I utilize elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in different parts of therapy when appropriate. I find tools like grounding, mindfulness, and meditation to be very helpful through challenging conversations. I firmly believe trust is a foundational part of the therapeutic alliance. Trust in intuition, trust in your therapist, and trust in the work you are doing are all elements that can help you feel safe and supported in this process. You are capable of great things, including relief and feeling better than you feel right now.
