I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervisory designation in the state of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) in 2003 from Xavier University and my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) in 2005 from the University of Kentucky. I have primarily worked with adults in a variety of settings, including residential, criminal justice, substance abuse, and outpatient therapy.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), so my therapeutic approach focuses on addressing issues with emotion dysregulation. Although I have extensive experience with utilizing DBT techniques to help cope with personality disorders, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm urges, I have found DBT to be effective in treating a variety of mental health issues, such as bipolar, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I will work with you to identify ways to build A Life Worth Living, however you define it. I am not here to tell you what to do or what I personally think is best for your life. Instead, we will work together to navigate your boat through the waters of life’s changes. You are the admiral of your own ship, and the goal is to help you see this.
