TherapistAbout
My therapeutic approach empowers you to take charge of your healing journey. You are the expert on what works best for you, and I encourage you to come to therapy as your authentic self. From our very first session, my goal is to provide you with tangible tools and strategies that can make a difference in your life. Whether it's recommending a helpful app, suggesting an insightful book, or teaching you practical coping skills that you can immediately apply, I'm committed to helping you progress toward your goals.
I have several years of experience in therapy, including working with children, teenagers, and adults. I've particularly focused on assisting children aged 2-18 who grapple with ADHD and behavioral challenges, helping them develop the skills necessary to thrive in school and daycare settings. My education includes a Master's in social work from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's in Social Work from Ohio University. I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), mindfulness techniques, and liberation psychology. I also have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My passion extends to working with the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent individuals, and I am deeply committed to promoting racial equity. I actively engage in various racial justice initiatives, including obtaining a diversity certificate, participating in an Accelerating Racial Justice retreat, volunteering with SURJ (Stand Up for Racial Justice) in Cincinnati, and more.
Together, let's explore your unique experiences, challenges, and strengths. I'm dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space where you can find the support and guidance you need to achieve your goals and experience positive growth. If you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
In my free time, I can be found at home with my husband and our two cats, named Tofu and Miso! I love to play video games, read, go thrifting, go to the zoo, and check out new art exhibits.
