Hello there, I am Erika Hannah, a Supervising Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I hold an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist license with the state of Ohio. I have a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology.
I started my career as a community-based worker, going to schools and homes to help clients in an environment that made them feel safe. I take the time to develop a working and trusting relationship with clients so we can talk about the “tough stuff.” I then went onto a career in outpatient counseling, where I was promoted to manager and then a director. I have been able to assist clients with many different diagnoses and adjustments, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, school concerns, and family and couple concerns.
I work to establish a safe and non-judgmental space for all my clients. Together we can work on coping skills, processing stressors, communication skills, and setting boundaries. I use treatment modalities such as CBT, EMDR, Family Systems theory, Systemic theory, and Solution-Focused theory.
