Hi, I’m Nita Williams, MSW, LSW, and I’m passionate about providing inclusive, client-centered therapy for adolescents, adults, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe in meeting clients where they are and helping them build the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges. I’ve worked across a variety of settings, including community mental health, outpatient programs, hospitals, and schools, which has shaped my ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
In my current work as an outpatient therapist, I support individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and chronic mental health conditions. I provide both individual and group therapy, as well as psychoeducation, using evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My clinical work is rooted in trauma-informed care and cultural competence, and I work closely with clients and interdisciplinary teams to create treatment plans that reflect each person’s goals, strengths, and needs.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in roles that deepened my understanding of people, systems, and support, ranging from crisis intervention and care coordination to leadership roles in customer service and pharmacy operations. That background gave me unique insight into the real-world stressors people face and strengthened my commitment to advocacy, empowerment, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re seeking therapy for the first time or looking for a safe, affirming space to continue your healing journey, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
