More About Nellie Gordon

Hello, I’m Nellie.

I am a telehealth therapist serving adults throughout Ohio, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and bring a background in child protection investigations, case management, and mental health services. Throughout my career, I have worked alongside individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances, helping them navigate challenges, identify strengths, and create meaningful change.

My passion is helping individuals navigate grief in all its forms. While grief is often associated with the death of a loved one, it can arise from many different types of loss. Grief may accompany the end of a relationship, a life transition, a change in health, a loss of identity, infertility, an empty nest, career changes, or even the realization that life has not unfolded as expected. At its core, grief is the emotional response to losing something that mattered. I believe healing is not about moving on from what has been lost, but about learning to move forward while carrying those experiences with us in meaningful ways.

In addition to grief work, I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, life transitions, trauma-related stress, conflict resolution, domestic violence, relationship exploration, and nervous system dysregulation. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with a focus on helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Sometimes therapy is about working through a specific challenge, and sometimes it is simply about having a space where you can be yourself and talk openly with someone who is in your corner. If you are feeling overwhelmed, isolated, uncertain, or just need a supportive place to process life’s challenges, I am here to walk alongside you.

I look forward to helping you discover strength, healing, and growth that can emerge even during life’s most difficult seasons.
