Hi, my name is Colette, and I’m an MSW student focusing on counseling at Northern Kentucky University. I want to start by commending you for being vulnerable and reaching out. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or unsure about your next steps in life, please know you’re not alone. So many of us reach points where we feel stuck, stressed, or uncertain, and it’s okay to ask for help. Whether you’re hoping to feel more grounded and confident, or you’re just looking for relief from the daily pressure of it all, I’m here to walk with you through it, one step at a time.
My path to becoming a social worker and counselor wasn’t linear. I earned my undergraduate degree in film and, like many people, explored different careers, trying to find the right fit. Eventually, through my volunteer work on organic farms, I discovered my passion for helping others, and it’s been a privilege to support people of all backgrounds, especially neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks. I love integrating creative tools like art, music, movement, and mindfulness with traditional therapy approaches to help clients connect with their strengths and grow through life’s challenges.
I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, but I want to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. I will work with you from a person-centered and trauma-informed perspective. Whether we meet in person or online, I’m here to meet you where you are, emotionally and physically. If you’re thinking about taking that first step or just want to learn more, I’d be happy to connect with you. You don’t have to do this alone.
I currently work with young adults with disabilities, teaching interpersonal and entry-level skills for those hoping to get their first job after high school. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, creating art, making remixes, dancing with my friends, and napping with my adorable cat, Little Jo Catwright.
