Hi, I’m Timothy Johnson, MSW, LSW. I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they work through life’s challenges, especially when it comes to emotional overwhelm, identity struggles, and transitions. My background includes years of experience supporting children, teens, and families through education, ministry, and community programming. Before entering the mental health field, I served as a middle school teacher, youth pastor, and family life director, which gave me a deep understanding of how personal, spiritual, and social factors all play a role in emotional well-being.
As a therapist, I bring a compassionate and grounded approach to every session. During my clinical training, I worked in a day treatment setting, where I provided individual and group therapy, supported youth through crisis situations, and helped families navigate complex emotional and behavioral needs. I’ve also worked with refugee teens on college and career readiness, offering both guidance and culturally informed support. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of connection, practical tools, and a safe, respectful space where people can begin to heal and grow.
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and families, and I’m passionate about helping clients find clarity, resilience, and purpose. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, I offer therapy that is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your goals. My style is relational and down-to-earth, and I aim to create an environment where you feel understood, accepted, and empowered. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
