Hi there! My name is Frank and I’m so glad that you are looking for a therapist! I love to help people discover what life they want to be living and collaborate with them to make it a reality. Maybe you don’t want to feel anxious all the time or you’re struggling with stress at work? Maybe you feel like you’ll never be happy and find it difficult to even make it out of bed in the morning? Maybe you just don’t know how to move forward? Whatever obstacles you’re facing in life, therapy is a great way for you to team up with an ally (that’s me!) to help you turn those obstacles into the building blocks of your new life.
I have been helping folks improve their mental health since 2005. I learned the skills I needed by getting a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Thomas More College and a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Cincinnati. I’ve honed those skills by helping a diverse population of people work through their anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use and addiction. I believe that therapy works best when it’s built on empathy and understanding, so my approach always starts with you: your story, your strengths, and your goals. I then use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based therapies to supply you with a set of skills that will help you reach those goals.
I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help, but I’m thankful that you’ve made it this far! If you’re ready to take the next step in your mental health journey, schedule an appointment with me and we can work together to find your path forward.
