More About Alexis Reese

If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply stuck, you’re not alone. Life can bring challenges that leave you unsure of where to turn, and reaching out for support is an important first step.

As a counseling intern pursuing my Master’s degree at John Carroll University, I provide counseling under the supervision of an experienced licensed therapist. My concentration in Substance Use Disorders has deepened my understanding of addiction, recovery, and the complex factors that influence lasting change. Before my clinical training, I supported children and adolescents through tutoring, cognitive assessment, and mental health group programming. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, curiosity, and meeting people where they are.

As a woman of color, my lived experiences and academic background in Africana Studies, Family Development, and Gender Studies have shaped my commitment to culturally responsive, affirming care for people of all backgrounds and stages of life.

Reaching out for support can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I strive to create a space where you can show up as your authentic self while we work together toward meaningful change. Whether you’re developing new skills, exploring personal growth and healing, or seeking support through a difficult season, my goal is to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique experiences. I welcome the opportunity to connect with you in person or through secure telehealth.
