More About Alexandra Balle

Hi, I’m Alexandra Balle, a clinical intern currently pursuing my Master of Social Work. As part of my graduate studies, I provide therapy through my internship and also serve as a homeless prevention case manager, where I support individuals and families at risk of losing their housing. My work in both clinical and community-based settings has shaped my approach to therapy: practical, compassionate, and focused on helping people build the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges.

For the past four years, I’ve worked in homeless prevention, and before that, I gained valuable experience in child welfare as both an intern and caseworker. These roles strengthened my skills in crisis intervention, resource coordination, and relationship-building. I’m passionate about walking alongside people during difficult times and helping them access meaningful support. Whether it’s through direct services, goal-setting, or therapy, I truly believe in the power of connection and collaboration in the healing process.

I was born and raised in Central Ohio, and I’m proud to be serving the community I’ve always called home. I earned my BSW from Ohio University and returned there to complete my MSW through the Advanced Standing program. My goal is to become a licensed independent social worker (LISW) and continue working clinically with individuals who are seeking support, healing, and personal growth.

Note: Alexandra Balle is a dedicated master’s-level student currently receiving supervision from Judy Maria Ponzi to provide you with the highest quality care. This collaborative approach ensures that your counseling experience is supported by a team committed to your growth and well-being. Judy will be actively involved in overseeing clinical aspects of your care, including attending some sessions and reviewing diagnostic and treatment plans to ensure they are tailored to your needs. If you have any questions about this process, Alexandra or Judy would be happy to discuss them with you. Together, they are here to support your journey.
