Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. Briefly, here are the greatest hits about my qualifications: in 2017, I completed a Master of Social Work at the University of Toledo; I am a licensed independent social worker; and I have over 3 years of experience practicing therapy. Furthermore, I have treated a wide variety of issues ranging from suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors to relationship problems and stress management. When it comes to mental health, I consider myself a Jack-of-all-trades.
My personal treatment philosophy is informed by many disciplines, both within and outside of standard treatment models. For example, some clients may find that theories such as feminism or existentialism provide fruitful ways of understanding seemingly personal problems. I believe that social conditions are relevant to clinical outcomes and should be taken into account.
I stay current on evidence-based treatments and strive to combine elements from cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy in sessions. I keep motivational interviewing, the strengths-based perspective, systems theory, reality therapy, and solution-focused therapy in my counseling toolbox. I look forward to starting a helping relationship with you and watching you live your best life!
