Hello, I am a licensed social worker in Ohio and have been practicing for the last seven years. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Ohio Dominican University in 2016 and received a minor in Gerontology Studies.  Â
I have worked predominantly with children placed in foster care as well as their foster and biological parents and specialize in helping others dealing with depression/anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, self-harming behaviors and suicidal ideation and substance abuse disorders. I am experienced in guiding my clients through the aftereffects of physical and sexual trauma, domestic violence, substance abuse and human trafficking. I most recently worked with Youth Advocate Services (foster care) for the past three years, and before that, I worked with foster youth at The Buckeye Ranch from 2016 to 2020.Â
I have found that person-centered, holistic and existential approaches allow clients to feel that they are actively involved in their therapy. These methods emphasize the importance of meeting the client where they are at in their life – which is crucial because it enables them to find the answers that work for them. It truly is an honor to work alongside my client as a team and find what is necessary to help them meet the challenges they are presented with. We work together as a team to find the tools necessary that help them meet the challenges they are presented with.  Â
I have enjoyed doing volunteer work with local community schools and have lead literature groups and provided tutoring to students. I am committed to helping people of all ages learn to become more self-aware and strengthen their ability to advocate for themselves so that they can enjoy increased self-esteem and overall sense of well-being. When I am not helping others, you can find me visiting my daughters located in various parts of the country as well as helping to take care of my new granddaughter!Â
