Welcome! My name is Sruthi Pillai. I have a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Trauma-Informed Care. I provide therapy for adolescents and adults. I am passionate about serving people who identify as LGBTQIA+, immigrants or children of immigrants, and anyone who has ever felt unseen or misunderstood. I see you. You are valid.
Whether you are going through mental health challenges, life transitions, processing trauma, or seeking a greater understanding of yourself, I offer a quiet space where you feel heard, supported, and challenged to grow. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and is grounded in mindfulness, curiosity, and awareness of the fact that you are more than just your diagnosis. You know yourself best and deserve the care that honors your whole self and lived experiences. You are given the time to reflect and pay attention to what you truly want.
I believe healing happens when we feel empowered to live our truth and challenged to grow at a pace that feels right for us. Therapy can be intimidating and requires the courage to get out of your comfort zone, because that is where growth happens. If you are reading this, I hope you pat yourself on the back for taking this first step towards growth and healing.
A little about me: I love nature and hiking, and I like to read, crochet, and do other crafty things. I enjoy walking in the crisp morning air and practicing yoga. I chose social work as a profession because I am passionate about social justice, and I find helping people become the best versions of themselves very fulfilling and meaningful. I am curious in nature and have a love of learning. If you have a concern that stumps me, I would ask people and hit the books that same evening, trying to figure out a way to help you.
Note: Sruthi Pillai is under the supervision of Rachel Redmond to provide you with the highest quality of care.
