Asking for help isn’t always easy, especially when you’re feeling anxious, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure how to move forward. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges or relationship issues, I’m here to support you with empathy, care, and curiosity. My goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and working as a graduate counseling intern, where I provide therapy for both individuals and couples. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, which allows me to meet each person where they are and tailor support to their unique needs. I’m especially passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals experiencing anxiety, identity concerns, or life transitions.
If you’re thinking about starting therapy, I’d be honored to be a part of your journey. My background also includes experience supporting clients with access to essential resources, helping neurodivergent students succeed in academic settings, and creating strategies for lasting personal change. I offer both in-person sessions in a welcoming, affirming environment as well as virtual sessions for your convenience.
Note: Abigail Stocksdale is a dedicated master’s-level student currently receiving supervision from Charity Chaney to provide you with the highest quality care. This collaborative approach ensures that your counseling experience is supported by a team committed to your growth and well-being. Charity will be actively involved in overseeing clinical aspects of your care, including attending some sessions and reviewing diagnostic and treatment plans to ensure they are tailored to your needs. If you have any questions about this process, Abigail or Charity would be happy to discuss them with you. Together, they are here to support your journey.
