Hello, my name is Paida, and I am currently training to be a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I am a student pursuing my Master of Science through Walden University and will complete my program in May 2026. As part of my residency, I have the privilege of working under licensed supervision to support individuals navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.
Whether you are just needing someone to talk to, navigating through life challenges, anxiety, depression, loss, family challenges, or transitioning, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care that honors each person’s unique story. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, grounded in deep empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Having lived and worked on three different continents, I bring a unique ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds through a multicultural perspective.
During our sessions, we will work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop strategies to help you cope with your challenges. Whatever you are going through, I am here to listen and support you on your self-paced journey toward healing and growth. I look forward to working with you.
Note: Paida Hakutangwi is a dedicated master’s-level student currently receiving supervision from Charity Chaney to provide you with the highest quality care. This collaborative approach ensures that your counseling experience is supported by a team committed to your growth and well-being. Charity will be actively involved in overseeing clinical aspects of your care, including attending some sessions and reviewing diagnostic and treatment plans to ensure they are tailored to your needs. If you have any questions about this process, Paida or Charity would be happy to discuss them with you. Together, they are here to support your journey.
