More About Kara Nolasco

Hi, I’m Kara! I’m currently working toward my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ohio University. Throughout my counseling experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions.

I take an integrative, person-centered approach to counseling and enjoy incorporating techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gestalt therapy. I believe everyone has their own unique experiences and needs, and I strive to create a comfortable, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood.

When I’m not counseling or working on school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, and cooking. I love trying new things, exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family!
