Dana (“Donna”) Danoff MSW, LISW is a licensed independent social worker and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College (CUNY) and her master’s degree from Miami University.
Donna employs an integrative therapeutic approach using elements that include mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Above all, Donna practices from a client-centered humanistic approach that sees in everyone the seeds for change, growth, and realizing their potential.
By connecting with and seeking to understand her clients, Donna works to help clients remove obstacles and problematic patterns blocking their wellness, growth, and success, however they wish to define it.
Prior to private practice as a therapist at Mindfully (former Compass Point), Donna accrued experience with adults and adolescent individuals in both college counseling services and outpatient community mental health settings. Her areas of experience and clinical interest include depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment, LGBTQ+ and trauma work. She has a strengths-based and client-centered theoretical orientation from which she provides a safe space to air, process, identify and address emotions and challenges.
