Hi, I’m Stephanie, and I have been working with children and families for 20 years. I enjoy working with younger children, ages 5-12, and have experience with teens and parents. I work a lot with children who are dealing with the “tough stuff” of life, such as divorce, grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and just coping with life, in general. In addition, sometimes parents have a hard time dealing with their children’s issues or knowing how best to support them, and they need some support of their own, too.
In my years of experience, I have had many opportunities to work with a wide range of children and families and assist them with their journeys: foster care/adoption, child welfare, community mental health, crisis, and residential placement. In addition, I have extensive training in trauma, grief, divorce, and play therapy, as well as my own experiences as a child living in a divorced home. These training and work experiences, as well as my own experiences working through my own trauma, have helped me in my work and will assist me in helping your child, as well.
In working with you and your child, I will go on the therapeutic journey with you and be by your side, every step of the way, showing you the way through the ups and downs. This process is not something that we can predict a time for, but it is worth it! In addition, I am happy to meet you in person at our comfortable office location or online (via our HIPAA-compliant video conference software), based on your child’s age. I look forward to working with you!
