More About Ericka Machuca

Welcome to Mindfully, and thank you for visiting my bio! I am Ericka Machuca (Mah-CHOO-kuh), and I am a Cincinnati native, now living in Dayton, where I am also a military spouse and mom of 3 kiddos. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Ohio University (2023), and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from University of Toledo (2007).

My passion is advocating in as many ways as I can for all clients I serve, as well as striving for reaching an equitable and just situation for my clients. I love being with people in some of the hardest times of their lives, and helping them through it. I want to make sure everyone has someone in their lives who truly cares and can maybe make things less scary, less messy, and allow the client to be empowered to take control of their lives.

This world sometimes isn’t fair, and it’s messy—that’s where I come in. It’s my goal to work with people of all walks of life, generally ages 18-118, who are struggling with LGBTQIA2S+ issues, societal stressors, government stressors, partner/relationship stressors, workplace issues, family and generational trauma, aging issues, grief and bereavement, end of life, life changes, life transitions, military life, and many more areas. I offer in-person therapy at the Centerville location, as well as telehealth!

When I am not working, I am being a mom, and cuddling a lot with my Chihuahua and my German Shepherd, our cat, guinea pig, and two rats. I also love reading, writing, traveling everywhere, and being with family.

I can’t wait to meet you!
