Hi, I’m Kate. My background is in working with youth and families experiencing complex circumstances, and I’ve developed a particular interest in the ways relationships, family dynamics, and past experiences shape how we communicate, connect, and respond to one another.
I primarily work with couples who are navigating conflict, communication difficulties, disconnection, major transitions, or challenges within their relationship. I believe that couples can become caught in patterns that are difficult to recognize or change without an outside perspective. My role is to help partners slow those patterns down, understand what is happening, and develop healthier ways of communicating and relating to one another.
I also work with families and individual clients, including adolescents, young adults, and adults. Individual therapy may include working through trauma, relationship concerns, family issues, significant life changes, or other experiences that have made it difficult to move forward.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and trauma-informed. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while continuing to expand my training in trauma-focused therapeutic models. I believe therapy should provide a space where clients can feel heard and understood while also having the opportunity to examine patterns, develop new skills, and make meaningful changes.
Whether you are seeking support for your relationship, working through family concerns, or processing experiences that have affected your life and relationships, I’ll work with you to understand where you are, identify your goals, and develop a path forward that fits your circumstances.
